» P_Al - Dealing with the Preventable Causes of Cancer

I have just added an article on the many causes of cancer - see http://cancer.suite101.com/article.cfm/t... Though I knew it before, it really struck me how many are really preventable. For those of us who smoke, drink excessively or are exposed to other risk factors, how do we rationalize this? Many may not even be aware of these links. For those who are, do you think that it is up to us to take control of these situations, or is it the responsibility of government or others to protect us?
