» P_Al - Tips to Decrease Your Cancer Risk

We all have our unique challenges in life. As a result, no one strategy will work for all. I therefore offer these tips that I hope will be of benefit to you.
· Don't become preoccupied with what someone else is doing. If you try their strategy and it does not work, try something else.
· Change takes time. Don't try to change your diet or any other habit overnight. Pace yourself. Write down a six-month plan (or more) based on small incremental steps leading up to your desired outcome.
· Don't forget to follow the recommended cancer screening guidelines at the following link: http://cancer.suite101.com/article.cfm/d...
· Try to make changes that blend into your life with minimal disruption. It may be more practical to incorporate exercise into your regular activities, rather than to schedule time just for a workout. For example, get off the bus/train a few stops short of home and walk the rest of the way.
I would love to hear how you approach these issues. Let us know what your strategies are. Feel free also to share your failed attempts. Others will learn from both.
